Description

Back for my 4th visit earlier this year, also includes old data. Can’t get enough of this guy!

M31, also known as the Andromeda Galaxy, is the closest spiral galaxy to the Milky Way and is located about 2.537 million light-years away from Earth. It’s approximately 220,000 light-years in diameter, making it slightly larger than our Milky Way. M31 is visible to the naked eye from Earth and is one of the farthest objects visible without binoculars or a telescope. It’s named after the constellation Andromeda, where it appears.
